Students and staff at Hanshaw Middle School were treated to a special Cinco de Mayo celebration.
A group of folklorico dancers with the group "Casa Cultural Ballet Tradiciones" as well as Modesto City Schools took the stage in the center of campus.
Among them was a 17-year-old Johansen High School student Adrian Estrada, who said he enjoyed visiting the middle school today to inspire younger students to learn about their culture and get involved in Folklorico.
He was excited to promote the new ballet folklorico classes that will be offered at Bret Harte Elementary and Hanshaw Middle Schools next year.
Students and staff were also treated to snacks and a photo booth as part of the Cinco de Mayo festivities.
