This year, one of our main goals is to get every student to school. Our target for attendance is 96% or above. To achieve this, we need your support! 

Here are some attendance facts:

1. Research shows that once a student hits only six absences, regardless of reason, it has a significant negative impact on that student’s achievement. 
2. Chronic absences - missing 10 percent or more of school days can lead to:
   1. Third graders unable to read 
   2. Sixth graders falling multiple subjects
   3. Ninth graders dropping out of school
3. Attending school helps children feel better about themselves and school. 
4. Education pays off in terms of a meaningful future and successes in the workforce:
   1. High school dropout = $32,500
   2. High school graduate = $39,700
   3. Associate’s degree = $45,000
   4. Bachelor’s degree = $61,600

Rob Road will recognize students with perfect attendance at the end of the month on the Superstar Assemblies. Students will have the opportunity to get a prize! 

We will also send individual student attendance reports home at the end of each trimester. The first trimester ends on 10/27. The second trimester ends on 2/16. The third trimester ends on 5/17. The report will look like this:

These are just a few reminders when your child needs to miss school or has an appointment. 

1. Please be sure to call your child’s absence into the school office first thing in the morning.   
2. If appointments are necessary, please try to make them as late into the day as possible.   
3. Your child should still attend school, even if they have an appointment.

Aquí hay algunos datos sobre la asistencia:

              d.   Licenciatura = $61,600

Rob Road reconocerá a los estudiantes con asistencia perfecta a fin de mes en las Asambleas de Superestrellas. ¡Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de obtener un premio!
 
También enviaremos informes individuales de asistencia con los estudiantes a casa al final de cada trimestre. El primer trimestre finaliza el 10/27. El segundo trimestre finalizara el 02/16. El tercer trimestre finaliza el 05/17. El informe se verá así:

Además, tenemos algunos recordatorios, cuando su hijo necesite faltar a la escuela o tenga una cita:

1.  Por favor asegúrese de llamar a la oficina de la escuela para informar de la ausencia de su hijo a primera hora de la mañana.

2.  Si las citas son necesarias, intente programarlas lo más tarde posible en el día.

3.  Su hijo aún debe asistir a la escuela, incluso si tiene una cita.
